That's a good question!

The best and by far the easiest solution is to put the video on YouTube first.

YouTube automatically converts the videos into a compact file size and format that is suitable for watching on the internet.

• Go to http://www.youtube.com
• Create an account for yourself.
• Press the Upload button.
• Browse to the file on your hard drive.
• While the video is uploading, enter a title and description.
• Then send me the link to embed the video

The link will look something like this: <object width="425" height="344" .... etc etc...

Bug

The main site menu will not drop down over a YouTube video.

Solution

To see the full menu again navigate to another page. Tabbed browsing in Firefox makes this easy. Go to the menu and click with the mouse wheel. This opens a new browser tab, and leaves your video page open in the original tab. How did we live without tabbed browsing?
